Suhas Gopinath: Bill Gates aus Indien!
Es sind Geschichten, die mir immer wieder gut gefallen: Aus dem Nichts bauen Unternehmer riesige Firmen auf und greifen nach den Sternen - wenn es dann noch um sehr junge Unternehmer geht, also Leute in meinem Alter, die mit 17 schon großen Erfolg hatten, wird es natürlich für mich persönlich noch interessanter.
Suhas Gopinath ist eine solche Person. Mit 14 gründete Suhas, geboren 1986 in Bangalore (Indien), sein erstes Unternehmen. Aufgrund der Rechtslage jedoch nicht in Indien, seiner Heimat, sondern in den USA, Firmensitz war San Jose, in Kalifornien: Globals Inc.
Leider weiß ich bis heute nicht genau, was das Kerngeschäft von Globals Inc. genau ist. Fakt ist jedoch, dass das Unternehmen im Laufe der Zeit ein einziger Erfolg wurde, weshalb ihn viele schon als den “Bill Gates aus Indien” betiteln. Insgesamt beschäftigt er 400 Mitarbeiter; eine stolze Zahl.
Noch imposanter ist jedoch, dass amerikanische Investoren vor einigen Jahren 100 Millionen Dollar boten - und Suhas ablehnte! Wenn auch nach einigen Monaten Bedenkzeit, wie er mal sagte. Einfach Wahnsinn!
